ALUT – The National Israeli Society for Children and Adults with Autism is the leading organization in Israel for diagnosis, treatment, representation, and research in the field of Autism. ALUT recently commenced its 48th year with over 2,500 professional employees, giving service to over 15,000 families across Israel. Our activities focus on three main areas: Establishing, operating and developing services for children and adults with Autism and their families; Advocating and promoting the rights of children and adults with Autism and their families and Promoting new research on Autism and dissemination knowledge. ALUT is the largest and most comprehensive organization in Israel, serving the autistic population. We maintain a holistic approach based on research and knowledge gained through vast experience.
Our “lifetime of care” approach begins at diagnosis and continues throughout adulthood. We facilitate the development and growth of our Autist members and are present when they reach their milestones.
ALUT is the only organization in Israel that provides a range of services for people with autism of all ages nationwide. We are proud to have many esteemed, professionals, public figures and parents involved in ALUT’s operation.
To date, Alut has established and operates five Family Centers throughout the country, 11 Rehabilitation Day Care Centers, 19 Homes for Life, 15 Occupational Centers, After School Social Clubs, a Diagnostic Center that specializes in autism as well as runs Vacation and Summer Camps. ALUT also advocates the rights of people with autism and their families and helps the families whenever such rights are breached. ALUT's long lasting experience, wide-spread of its frameworks throughout the country, and professionalism of its staff ensure its capacity and capability to achieve the organization's objectives.
ALUT serves as a Special Consultant to the United Nations and received the 2014 President's Award for Volunteers.
