Dear Visitor,

Shalom
Exciting things are happening at ALUT.
We would like to tell you about a new pilot project of ALUT that is on its way these days and will begin in September 2015:
Five new Recreational Occupation Centers will open this coming September for young adults with autism that live at home with their parents and go to occupational center 5 days a week until 15:30.
The purpose of these Recreational centers is double-folded:
- To relieve the parents from the long afternoon hours during which they need to watch over their child and occupy him/her at home. This is a difficult task for all parents and especially those that are already coming of age;
- Youngsters at this age occupy themselves- they read, hang out with their peers, go out to clubs, to movies etc. Autistic youngsters, on the other hand, usually do not have pleasure time hobbies and do not hang out with their peers.
The new Recreational Occupation Centers are meant to answer these two needs.
The activities at the Recreational Center will include sports, arts, music and more, for the enjoyment of the autistic youngsters at the Center who will spend their time at the Centers until 5:30 PM and then will return home.
ALUT is now establishing the Centers, purchasing equipment and training the professional staffs. We need your help for the success of this pilot.
Come join us and be a partner to something new and exciting. If the pilot succeeds we will expand the project and open more Centers throughout the country.
Once again we invite each one of you to come and visit us during your visit in Israel. There is so much to see and to be excited about!
